About the Author

Prof. Rudra Prasanna Mohapatra (M.A., Ph.D., D.Litt.), is a Graduate in Indian Philosophy, Post Graduate in Indian Anthropology and Doctorate in Indian Astrology. He has honorary entitlements of Professor and Letter in Astrology (D. Litt) from Prixton Open University (USA). He is educated from Indian Council of Astrological Sciences (ICAS), Chennai. He was a Long-Term Volunteer at Isha Yoga Center (IYC), Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu where he gathered fair knowledge on Rudraksha and authored a book explaining astrological uses of Rudraksha titled “Rudraksha Jyotisha” (MLBD, 2024).

Prof. Mohapatra dedicated ample effort to astrological research and has published more than 50 publications on various facets of Vedic Astrology in leading English Journals of Astrology like Modern Astrology, The Planets and Forecast, The Astrological eMagazine etc. He has already composed Four Books on Hindu Astrology titled (1) Rudraksha Jyotisha (2) Golden Rules of Medical Astrology (3) Biological Astrology (4) Unseen Planets. About the Book

This book explains the concept and application of Badhaka Graha in Hindu Astrology. Often 7th, 9th and 11th lords for dual, fixed and movable ascendants respectively are simply blamed to be badhaka or trouble creator for the native. In reality, it is not so. The association of Khara navamsha and Khara drekkana is necessary for a planet to act as a Badhaka for the native. This book explains the calculation and application of Kharesh and their use in identification of Badhaka. In which ways the Badhakesh can deliver unexpected malefic consequences during its dasha, are clarified via various chart analyses.
